Jayenkai	Not sure why, but randomly decided it was probably a good idea to start ripping all my physical Music CDs. I've never actually done the whole lot before. Couldn't be arsed with all the CD Singles I'd amassed over the years, but ... Why not!!? Oddly, didn't know it did this, but when you rip a CD, it automagically pops up on your iTunes account as an owned CD, meaning it then shows up on your iPhings, too. Seems to be integrating with the Apple Music server, so only tracks that are already available to stream become available. As such, most of my crazy wacky singles aren't actually playable via this method, and will instead have to be done the old fashioned "Drag an MP3 across" style.. But .. There's a lot of stuff that it is indeed picking up. Kinda neat, I must admit. Probably only useful to know this if you've got an Apple Music account, though. I'm guessing it doesn't work, without. -=-=- ''Load, Next List!''

Jayenkai	Hmmm... I appear to be nearing the end of my music CD collection, but I KNOW there are CDs missing. Like, where are all the MP3.com/PeopleSound mp3 collection CDs. Jayenkai	Ahaa.. Found 'em. They weren't in amongst the music CDs. They were, instead, in amongst the CoverDisk CDs/DVDs. The Xbox 360's box with the hundreds upon hundreds of CDs/DVDs stashed willy nilly about the place. I also uncovered a few other CD gems, and even found my original PCPlus "Cakewalk Express!" CD in there, too! A box of sheer insanity, dating back well over a decade. The laptop is now trying (very very slowly!) to read decade old CDs that haven't been stored in a very good way. Jayenkai	Totally believable. Apple Music incorporates bits of Apple Music Match, so will happily go about replacing your music with "better" versions. If you've ripped from a 10 year old CD, at 128kbs, it's nice to have it upgraded to a pristine clean high res remastered M4A. That's kinda what it's doing. It's just that in a lot of cases, it's also managing to completely bugger it up. It's replacing "rare" stuff with the standard stuff. In my collection, for example, the version of Ansaphone from the Disco 2000 Single has been replaced with the version of Ansaphone from the Different Class Deluxe rerelease. They are in fact two very different performances. But I knew this going in, so have kept both. I also tend not to put all my music into iTunes in the first place. I especially don't let it search through my own music creations. In my honest opinion, anyone who DOES think that it's a good idea to copy ALL of their music over to iTunes, is a fucking idiot!!! We've spent the better half of this millennium CONSTANTLY warning people NOT to use iTunes!!! I'm ripping my music with iTunes because it lazily makes my music available all over my iOS collection. But I'm doing it in the knowledge that it's most definitely going to fuck up, somewhere!! I'm backing up all rips, and duplicating everything on my NAS. ...but I'm tech savvy, and I knew this going in. Everyone else is freaking the fuck out!! GfK	This is why I don't like iTunes. I don't like any software that thinks it knows what I want better than I know myself. I still have a bloody U2 album on my iPad that I didn't want.
