I think it's rather telling that nobody seems to be bothered by this news. We're all too excited about Switch!

I'm actually less excited about Switch than I was prior to the January Nintendo Direct.

The problem is cost (hardware and software) and lack there of. Other than Zelda, for now there's nothing I really care for. I know that I'd end up buying a few games with the Switch, only one of which I'll actually play.

It's interesting to note too that there's actually nothing really NEW on the horizon from any third party publishers - all games are either multi-format, or old established games. Some make sense, others not so much.

TBH I've taken stock of my current unopened/unstarted/unfinished games for all systems and realised that I've got years worth of gaming to catch up on. Adding the Switch to the proceedings would just increase the hoard.

So, I will get one, but not at launch.

As for the WiiU - it was a fine system, with some excellent games and I don't regret buying it for a second. I've had lots of fun with it and still have 5-10 unopened games yet to play, plus some downloadeed games too. Yeah, it had its faults, but it also has touches of genius too.

Speaking of unplayed WiiU games.. I still haven't actually played Lego City Undercover, yet.

I loaded the game up. Waited 3 hours for it to load. Waited for the cutscene to load. Watched the unskippable cutscene, waited for the menu to load. Started the game. waited for the game to load. Started playing for approx 2 seconds, then got a cutscene and thought "to hell with this!!" as it once again started to load..

I don't have the patience for that shit!!!

Honestly, once that long intro is done, it's done.

There are VEEEEEEERY long loads once the game starts up and when you re-enter the police station, but other than that there are none. The game iS HUUUUUUUUUGE and there is a massive amount of stuff to do. It's one of the funniest games I've ever played with loads of genuine LOL moments.

I completed it 100%, getting every single item, vehicle and character and don't regret the time invested one little bit.

It's a real shame about the load times, but other than that I've got nothing but praise for the game. Hopefully the Switch version will be much quicker and perhaps add a few more bits and bobs. It definitely deserves to sell well.
