Seven years ago I was writing in Cobra. Who remembers that? I really liked it for 2D at least!

All about the timing, iirc. Cobra took ages to release, and by the time it had, most of us had moved on.
... and the roaring Idigidragon had stormed the city, destroying our home..

Yeah at one point a certain dragon screwed the author over iirc? Graham was a top character though, hope he's doing well

I was grateful for it at the time but looking back now, have to wonder just what I was thinking, writing entire games in 3 months or less and selling the rights for a pittance.

I devved in Cobra for a whle, then discovered that both BMax and PlayBasic were much faster at doing what I wanted to do and then stopped instantly. I did a remake of Guru Logic Champs in all three languages - BMax came out the smallest, fastest and smoothest, with PlayBasic a pretty close second.

@GfK was that the Doncaster meet up? I was there too. They had the Q&A session at the end which ended up being a massive shitfest about how bad EA were at the time with their work practices after one of their team carked it on the job.

There were many Blitzcons in Doncaster and I went to probably four or five - that was one of 'em. Tres awkward.

Interesting....

https://www.idigicon.com/

No idea who UK Binary Limited is (hover over the logo), only that it isn't a UK limited company, according to Companies House.

Apparently, Steve Smith (xMystik) is. There used to be a company called UK Binary Limited, but it was dissolved in 2013. He was the director. So he owns the rights to Idigicon now?

Someone email him and tell him he can link all those wasted useless domains here

I'm just wondering exactly who the fuck owns the rights to ten years of my Blitz work now....

If you have his email, ask him. I'd guess he's more in the loop than the rest of us.

.. Maybe!!?!

I guess it's not that important - it's not like I'm ever likely to want to revisit any of it.

As a hoarder of all things content-wise, I'd say there's nothing to lose in trying.

I wrote a small game in Cobra, and that was it... Went back to Blitz... I wasnt keen on the Pascal/BASIC combo syntax that it had going off.
