Words

I'm totally in favour of having "any word, as long as it's in the dictionary" as part of videogame word games.
IMO, if a child is mature enough to know a word, even if it's a naughty word, then they should be allowed to play it.

Similarly, if you’re playing against a human opponent, you might get a kick out of it when one player plays a silly naughty word.
I think that's ok.. right??!

But then what about when the computer player plays something like my opponent just did..

Disgraceful.
There should be AI rules for naughty words!!!

The thing is, some words, some are rude to people, and some are not, and sometimes, the way people say them, you wouldnt think it was a rude word... Take this:-

who-er

I say that all the time... Basically, say, if I'm using a stanley knife and accidentally cut my hand, usually I react by saying "Owww ya who-er", while waving my hand about.

Or, when stroking a dog or cat or something and it nips/scratchs me, I usually go "Oh, you little who-er"

"Who-er" means... Whore, so what I am saying in actual English is "Owwww you whore", but I would never say the word "Whore" in that context (I dont even use it at all), but will dispense "who-er" till the cows come home.

Now sometimes when I say "who-er", some people, especially older people, find it offensive, which is fair do's, Whore is a strong word, "who-er" is my accents definition of it... I understand... But I dont think its bad, maybe because its softer on the ears... I dont know?

One of them things

True..

.. And in 99% of cases, I'd agree.
Like I say, kids learn these things anyway. Even a kid with 100% good manners would still swear in the playground. That's just the way it is.
But.. nobody needs to know Goatse!! ... NOBODY!!!

TBH - if it's in the dictionary, or a word that's familiar to me (or not, then via google/the internet - as dictionaries can be very slow to keep up with modern language), then I really don't see the problem.

You're only annoyed because the computer's beating you!

Wouldn't Goatse be a proper noun? Would think it would be disqualified for that reason.
