It's not thanks to HTML5, it's thanks to WebGL. I also agree that this is the future and it's exactly what I want to move over to from Java.

However there is one big thawn in the side, Internet Explorer. It has no plans to include WebGL, and I'm kinda scared they will package their own DirectX alternative to avoid supporting it. Hopefully when lots of online games are out taking advantage of WebGL it'll correct them.

It's not just IE though. When you talk about "Browsers" there's lots more than just your bog-standard PC to think about. A HECK of a lot more.
WebTV, Wii, Mobiles, Tablets and more.


You have a choice. You can either say "Works on all" or you can scrap the rest, and make for the best.

This would be one of those "Scrap" moments.
Unfortunately, given the compatibilites, that means you'd probably have been better off just using Flash, since it's actually working on more devices. Fucksocks..
