; Hello World

I'm finding myself thinking ahead, lately.
Thoughts of future framework plans, and methods to do an online "service".
I'm thinking about ways to log in.
I'm considering what things should be uploadable.
I'm pondering how a user can easily switch between different systems, and have their "jCloud" data restored.
In many ways, having to use Monkey, and it's "store all your data in one string variable" methods, has meant there's a lot of ways I can go with this.
In fact, if I simply store a text file for each player and their game, I can "download' that when they log in, and it'll restore all their scores, unlocks, badges and more.
In many ways, that's actually going to be one of the easiest things to pull off.

The trickier stuff will be logging in.
A compatible quick and easy log in method on Gamepad, touchscreen and keyboard...
Erk..

My online setup is still in the extremely early stages, and I'll probably hold off on it until I build up a 2015 edition of my framework, but the thoughts are in progress, and hopefully things will come together soon enough.

; Watch Out!

In the 80s, the idea of a pocket computer on your wrist, and being able to chat to it, like it was KITT, or Brain, was fucking awesome!!
"Hello!? I'm talking to you on my wrist! WOWIES!!!"
It's now 2014, 30 years later.. We've all grown up, and we already have awesomely capable mega computers in our pockets, inside our phones.
Do we still need the watch thing?

Star of two Bond movies, and probably one of the best loved bad guys, Richard Kiel who played villain Jaws, has passed away this week.

; Calling Doctor Logo

Kuron needs a logo, but is unsure whether to trust any kind of online "Logo Creator" service.
Frankly, it's a minefield out there.

Coincidentally, my cousin got nominated for a "Bolton, business of the year" type of award, for the design company she set up.
She came second.
Congrats to her!

; Flamin' Heck!

Steve stumbled upon an article about super-modder Ben Heck, on the BBC's site?
Apparently he's recently turned a ZX Spectrum into a lovely little portable game system.

I must admit, it's been a while since I peeked into the tech-hacking community. In general, the only stuff I've seen recently has been Spinal's little controllers and things.
But it's nice to know that the Heck-community is still out there, doing what they do.
I seem to recall he got a TV show at some point.. Did that ever actually happen?!
*shrugs*
