; Nearly Forgot!

Oops, it's half seven and I've completely forgotten to do the newsletter again.
Dangit.

I usually spend Wednesday nights flicking through SoCoder, pulling up the week's semi-interesting topics, and making up the Newsletter.
Instead, last night was spent fighting with the iPad's battery, doing backups, restores and general shouting at technology.
Stupid iPad being all stupid and stupid.
After all the faffing about, it seems to be much better, today.
It still died around about 5pm, but I also spent a few hours watching YouTube, and playing with KORG Gadget, both of which tend to drain the battery fairly quickly.
.. KORG Gadget has good reason, doing all those synths, and even managing to warm up the iPad quite significantly.

YouTube, though.
I've NO idea why that drains the battery so bad.
If I visit YouTube pages using the Safari browser, playing the exact same videos in fullscreen for the exact same amount of time, the battery's only about half as drained.
..What on earth is that YouTube app doing?
