Firewire

13th August 2018

Firewire use to be great. For video or an external hard drive, it was necessary as USB 1.0 was way too slow. USB 3.0 (and now 3.1) has made firewire obsolete.

Steam vs Blitz

I found this steamstub. Would it help? Last commit was 2 years ago, don't know how much the API has changed in that time, but the source may be easy to modify for the current one.

Angle - Staying in the 360 range - how?

21st June 2018

Problem with Mod is that it doesn't work when the result is negative.

You would want 355, but you will get -5 instead.

I will usually use rockford's method if I know the change in angle wi<snip>

Flood Fill Function

3rd May 2018

I now present to you a non-recursive, no stack, no extra arrays, 2 bit per pixel fill routine. This was a challenging project here and was actually surprised I got it to work the very first time. The program is written in BlitzMax, hopefully you can conv<snip>

Lost In Spaaaace

Finished watching the series. First couple of episodes were not that great, but it does get better. Not much originality though. Seems a though they just took a bunch of ideas from other tv shows and movies.

Watched episodes 1 and 2. Think I enjoyed the movie more. Episode 2 was a bit better than one, maybe it will get better as the season goes.

You can use quick save feature to save the .d64 image, so next time it loads faster, but there are only 4 slots for this.

Still say it is easier to just download an emulator.

Mathematic Grid Puzzle

Here is a version in BlitzMax that will create a grid that you can then check against. It progresses outward and ends up with 78, 79, 80, and 81 in the corner.

What you need is to lay down a skirt, a thin line of plastic that surrounds your print. This gets the plastic flowing. There should be a setting in your slicer to turn this on. https://www.simplify3d.com/support/articles/rafts-skirts-and-brims/

3 things to check.

1. Is the nozzle getting hot enough for the type of filament you are using? Some have a higher melting point than others.
