Jackson, 50, suffered a heart attack just after 12.00pm local time (19.00pm GMT) and paramedics were unable to revive him, TMZ.com said.

It's still unconfirmed at the time I write this, but.. it's not looking good.

In hiensight, I'm not that surprised. Regardless of what you think of him his life must have been very stressful.

Yep, stressful....

Childhood music star turned pop singer with a crazy new dance turned zombie turned pepsi spokesperson turned burn victim turned convicted child molester turned white woman turned reclusive weirdo turned ghoulish creature.

I wonder if they're going to still build that giant robot michael in the desert. Also, i have all of his shit on vinyl somewhere, i wonder if they're going up in value as we speak...

This morning I was listening to BBC News with people saying "this is as big as when Elvis died", but then at lunch it really struck me. I think people will be shocked, but not really care too much.

Over the last 10 years Jackson went really downhill, in a loose metaphorical sense he was already dead to a lot of people. His actual death will just be closure.

On the BBC tributes page, I was surprised to see that Macaulay Culkin hadn't commented !

One of my favorite musicians as a kid. I put on his best hits last night, still can't believe he's gone. R.I.P.

Indeed, I spent most of today with his tracks on a shuffle-playlist.
Damn shame..

I just found out about this a couple of hours ago on some crazy advert screen in the airport in Paris. It took a little deciphering me not being very good at reading French. I didn't realise he was 50.

I'm suspicious.

He received an injection and then later, he died.

Even if they prove it's cardiac arrest, or some other form of heart attack, I say it was induced.

Makes it murder

he was 50, extremely stressed and apparently suffered from an eating disorder... it's not like he was 20 and fit. He's been sick for ages.

Unortunate, sad but it's true.

I was looking forward to one more album

Apparently he has hundreds of songs that he has yet to release, as they were "for his kids." Due to the financial trouble of the family, there is a possibility that they could be released.

I am suspicious too. Both Majestic 12 and Michael Jackson share the same initials, MJ. This is not a coincidence, this is fact.

Following his death his record sales on iTunes have rocketted. This is too much to be a coincidence.

Perhaps he is still alive?

He hadn't had a concert since 1997, and was about to perform fifty concerts in a very short period of time. His mental health wasn't what it should have been either. Think of all the pressure; this would be his last performance ever. I say that he died out of stress.

Perhaps he is still alive?

It is completely possible that he was abducted by aliens who left a dead clone on the Earth for us mortals to be tricked.

I think John Landis, director of 'Thriller', describes Michael the best;

'Michael was an extraordinary talent and a truly great international star. He had a troubled and complicated life and despite his gifts, remains a tragic figure.'

Edit: 'According to initial data from Trendrr, a Web service that tracks activity on social media sites, the number of Twitter posts Thursday afternoon containing "Michael Jackson" totaled more than 100,000 per hour. '

WTF?!

Yeah, wait to see the day I die. Twitter will go bankrupt due to bandwidth problems, temporary newspapers will start up only to document my corpse's smell, and I will be pronounced world president posthumously. Or if not, then at least in my dreams.

It's kind of scary though how much media attention one man's death can steal.

Well, it's entirely plausible, if he can provide the evidence to back his claims up. But on the other hand, he could just be one of those people who is looking for attention, and wants to feel involved. It's hard to tell.
