Yeah, CRTs were great for random signal types. If you have an NTSC & PAL compatible TV then you're compatible with tons of stuff.
Get a "smart" TV and it freaks out at anything other than 1080i/p!!

Yeah, it's frustrating, only because it can clearly get the analogue signal, but then floats away from it post-tuning in.

Will probably grab a 14 inch one from somewhere only to freak out the wife with the whole "where is this going to go then?" over the weekend.

I'm not entirely sure what otakupunk's real-life job is, but he's always banging on about borrowing technical equipment from work, and damn, if it ain't expensive shit!!!
Lately he's been doing Atari and NES videos, but has been having to use equipment which he claims to be worth thousands of dollars, just so he can capture their outputs.
If you watch some of his Shaky Vlogs, he discusses the complicated crap he needed to go through to get all his consoles to record.

Yeah, I do love his retro review videos Jay, they're rather nice!

A spare TV should be okay though, just needs "proper" manual setting, not one that drifts after being set
