Yeah, but by the point, a million pounds will probably be just enough to buy me a burger!!

Letter arrived today.
Nothing to sign. Nothing to check.
Just a nice long lengthy letter to say "this is how much you'll be getting, and why.."
Payments will recommence next week.
All is good!
All is golden.

... This is usually the point that something in the house breaks, catastrophically, and I end up having to pay for another new bloody roof, or something.

Nearly all sorted, now. Mum's having to fight with the damn JobCenter to get switched back to being a Carer.
Although she now has her carer's income coming in, the JobCenter are making it a pain in the arse to switch from JobSeekers, to the required Income Support.
(Carer's only get about £55 a week, so Income "support" help top it up to the minimum weekly living allowance. ... Which is still only about £72 a week. Sucks...)

Yesterday, she was asked to go to the JobCenter with some ID.. The usual combination of passport, recent bills, birth certificate..
The lady at the JobCenter took one look at the birth certificate and stated..
"That's a different name."

... Yes, unfortunately my mother has been married twice, since birth, and the crazy doctors at the hospital 50-odd years ago didn't seem bothered about adding the name changes to her birth certificate.

Lazy fucking doctors.

In light of recent issues with regards to PIP and just in case anybody has to go through the PIP appeal process, there's a downloadble .PDF information booklet available - https://www.advicenow.org.uk/guides/how-win-pip-appeal?gclid=Cj0KEQiA56_FBRDYpqGa2p_e1MgBEiQAVEZ6--WNEWPsfVJGUv0tZww9BlttoIno74_QWvNBvWFekkAaAlNx8P8HAQ

I've attached it here too just in case the website goes down.

Title

Hopefully it'll be useful. Hopfully nobody here will ever need it though

@rockford - that really sucks.

Child Tax Credits is another shit system, I was unemployed for 2 stretches of 7 and 9 months respectively after being in the military, which ended up me being in debt to HMRC to the tune of £4,000, despite filling in my yearly assessment forms. Biggest insult was I'd a debt collection agency send me correspondence to reclaimanother 690 quid they magicked out of the air despite the fact I'd a direct debit set up with them. GGrrrrrr.

Happy coding!

@rockford - that really sucks.

Thankfully I've not had any personal dealings with PIP myself, other than completing forms for the people I work with (I work in adult mental health and the service users all need to complete these forms at some point).

The info may well be relevant to other forum users though, as some have gone through the shit machine that is the PIP process and just about come out the other side...

In the netherlands (here) I am on something called WAO. Dissability basically. I have not had messages from them for 14 years or so.

I get my income from the UWV which handles it. I wonder when and if they will send another letter inviting me to see their doctors. My decease (schizophrenia) is pretty well known so I think they just know to leave it at that untill better treatments and medicine get discovered. ( or my fear that the people decide to blindly kick everybodies arse to work)

I can hear voices a lot. Sound turns into voices and if I think of something (a memory) I can basically can hear it as if it is being said to me. Stress makes it worse. Medicine keep it contained/less loud and real.
I have had bad times with it in my history. ( aliens and agencies , presidents ect. continiuosly talking to me ect)

I am happy that i can do my hobby and that the medicine have a good effect.

Now with the financial crisis ending maybe the people wil get less angry having people doing nothing and having to pay for them.
