I must say, it looks very neat and modern! Not like the usual Mark-style!!

So very tempted to make a start in the world of Monkey2, but those .exe sizes and compile times are still rather scary.

Monkey2 is not finished yet. It might still take a while before no big changes will happen to the language.

So it probably is a good thing not to be using it yet for serious things.

I am happy with the more modern language features. The Lambda functions are quite nice. Also being able to put classes in classes is neat. There probaby is more that I have not found out yet so docs like these are good. Not that there is a whole lot of documentation here. But that might change.

Compile times are a lot better I read when you use the free ms visual c compiler.

I recently asked Mark via Twitter if the exe's might come down in size as he neatens things up. But.. Nope.. Doesn't look like that's happening.

I still like the flash target for monkeyx. I have around 300 applets hosted on google site that get put into my blog. Filesize for the flash are around 20 kilobytes per applet. I have no space for hundreds of large emscripten or wasm pages.

So I will be using monkeyx also next to monkey2.

Yeah, same here, but HTML5 (because those work on Mobiles better!)

Still really tempted by that 3D module, though. It's been a while since I tackled 3D..
