No fucker even told me she was IN intensive care! WTF is up with people these days? Facebook this, fucking Facebook that. Telephone! No?? :/

Jayenkai	Fuck. Hope she's ok. What happened? -=-=- On the Facebook subject, "we" grew up multitasking with computers, and learning the dos and donts, and how to put down your game when you're eating, etc. Both generations either side of us didn't, and it can be hell watching them try to eat with a phone in the other hand, or sitting silently and not interacting with another person in a room, because they're too busy interacting with that person on Facebook.. GfK	shrugs Been bad on her feet for a few years now, took a dive at home, hospital discovered some abscesses or something, had an operation about four days ago.... sometime between then and now she's ended up in intensive care. Surrendering to the Facebook mentality as that seems to be the only way folk can communicate these days, my wife asked my cousin. All we got is "she's getting there". Getting where? Hell in a handcart? What?? Oh, and to put the tin hat on it, we're actually getting more information from Facebook people who are posting on her Facebook thing. I have no clue who these people are, or how they're more "in the know" than immediate family. One of 'em is in fucking America and they seem to know more than any of the family do! \|edit\| I suspect it might be cos of something that happened nearly 20 years ago that I don't much care to go into. Bottom line was, I didn't speak to my aunt or any of her family for a few years. Me and her get along fine - now. But as for her daughter, she's a funny sort. Can't post it all over Facebook quick enough when she's having a bad day but something like, oh I dunno... her mother being in intensive care, not a squeak! My aunt's dog died a couple of years ago and left them with a huge vet bill of £350 or something. I rang up the vets without telling her, and paid it so they didn't have to worry about it, and she was under strict instructions not to tell anybody I did it. Less than two fucking days later, her daughter starts sending me Facebook messages asking me to lend her money. I said no - very politely. I'd barely spoken to her before that, and not at all since. Hmm... I could be onto something there...

GfK	Think my relationship with my gran is pretty much done with, since she died in 1997! Dared to mention the lack of comms with family on it-which-shall-not-be-named... cousin kicked off into a right fucking paddy after I mentioned that all she told us is "she's getting there". But she's not one for actually discussing things - it's all: Her: "I'm off to bed now to read a book and have a cry". Someone else: "aw whats up hun? x" Her: "Nothing I'm fine". Seriously, I dunno why she doesn't just write "Wooo everybody look at me. ME ME ME it's all about MEEEEEE" and be fucking done with it. Done with the bastard lot of 'em.
