I hate guns, but sometimes fire needs to be fought with fire.

What a fella!

Reminds me of the bloke who was shouting "I'm Millwall", and started scrapping with three terrorists:-

After the shooting in the UK at the Ariana concert

Shooting? I thought it was "just" a bombing!

Yeah, it was a bomb. Bomber guy was too exploded to pull out a gun.

Over hear lots of talk about gun laws in the news... and of course Trump delaying discussing gun laws is not looking good.

30 years of mass shootings by country:

Kuron, since you are our feet on the ground over there... why do you think there are so many mass shootings in the US compared to elsewhere in the world?

Something in the water?

I knew about the gun control laws in Chicago and but from what I've read most of the laws have changed there so its not really a gun-free city.

In the news over here they are saying the guns which was used in Vegas where semi-automatics which arnt banned but the killer was using a "bump stocks" which basically turns them into full-autos.

the whole world is falling apart and it seems to be by design.

Totally agree with you there! Unless something changes I dont see us lasting much longer...

What a blatant and deliberately misleading article. Point #1 talks about correlation between gun ownership and mass shootings, and even shows a chart. However, the chart shows no correlation. France and Germany have 3x the mass shootings than Switzerland, despite having about 1/3 fewer guns. Canada has 2x. If there were a real correlation, the numbers would fairly match down both columns. If you removed the US from that chart, you would see no patterns whatsoever. The article even mentions it briefly
The relation disappears when the United States is withdrawn from the analysis.

Point#2 seems like it would be just an observation, but later in the article, they state that mass shooting definition has changed allowing more incidents to be labeled mass shooting. How would the numbers look if you used a consistent criteria.

The US is a statistical anomaly. 95% of these charts I see show nothing unless the US is thrown in. If you compared mass shootings to the number of tornadoes, you would get similar results.

The US does have a real problem with gun violence. There is no denying it. Unfortunately, there are people using these tragedies to push through gun control agendas, rather than addressing the real issues. On August 19, 1 person died and 19 injured from an attack by a neo-nazi. He used a car. He did not think "I have a car, who can I kill with it?" rather he thought, "I hate all these anti-confederate protesters, what can I use to kill them?" I don't know if its something in the water, television, education, or bad parenting, but something is making people want to kill, and it is not guns. Guns are just a convenient tool, take it away and they will find something else.

I'm not saying we shouldn't have gun control laws. They can be a good thing when done properly, but they will not solve the problems with violence we have here. Unfortunately, when a tragedy like this happens, arguments turn to gun control vs gun rights instead of talking about the real issues, like why would someone want to kill like that in the first place?

"Gun Control" is indeed a hot button topic. It's something that doesn't ever really have a right or wrong answer.
I can only hope that someone can find a solution to this problem before more people get hurt.
..
... That won't happen. :\
