No coding, today. Helped Mum build a flat-packed chest of drawers. Took all damn day. Tomorrow's the wardrobe..

No coding here, either. Had to fill the freezer up - there's a chicken processing plant near here that supplies all the major supermarkets, and they have an on-site shop where they sell off the extra stuff dirt cheap. So... I went there. Got 27 whole chickens today, plus 12KG of chicken legs, all for £40.

27 whole chickens!!!

So do you have any thing else in the freezer now or is it just the chooks?

I presume the chickens were dead already, because putting them all in a freezer would be bad, K.

I could totally do that. Saves having to think up a different tea every day.
Chicken and chips.
Chicken with a homepride/chicken tonight sauce.
Roast chicken dinner.
Chicken curry with rice.
Chicken butties.

Yeah, bring on the chooks!!!

Well it was all fresh, and we froze it yesterday so we've got 3 months to nom it all. Twice a week should see it off.

Why didn’t the chicken cross the road?

Cos the poor little bastard is freezing it’s man giblets off in Dave’s freezer!

Bit of coding today... but it's so effing cold (and no I'm not cuddling dead chickens in the freezer before any northern ginger moustachios say it I'm typing with my hood up and just finger-ends poking out of my jumper sleeves. Might switch the heater on.

Wardrobe's shell is up. Now we just need to make extra drawers for that, and then fit the doors.
Really not coping well with all the moving. Feeling fucking useless, having to rest an hour between every little step.
Ffs...

Drawers are the worst bit - they give you shit woodglue, in shitty little packets like those shitty little packets of ketchup you get in back street cafes.

I guarantee you are going to stick your hand to the carpet with it. Guaranteed. and if you don't, you aren't doing flatpack right.

These are quite nice ones. No woodglue, but you do get those big chunky turning circlybobs that lock and grip the screws in place, and also there's even a brace across the bottom, to hold the shitty bottom plywood bit when the drawer gets too full.

It's a decent quality.
Cheapshit Argos stuff, but with added little bits to make sure it's sturdy, and will hopefully last at least a year before falling to pieces!

Part of the "Malibu" bedroom furniture set. Plain White, and boring, but exactly what was needed.

We got some "Malm" ones from Ikea and they're rock-solid. Lots of shit on the news about kids getting squashed by the drawers falling over - yet no mention of the daft bastards not installing the wall anchor kit that comes with it.

I hate flatpack furniture... And laminate flooring... And putting curtain rails up (In new build houses)... And tiling... In fact, nowadays, any form of actually doing anything out of normal working hours... I hate!

And since I'm home again, the auld requests roll in... "Mick, can you do this?", "Mick, can you do that"... "Mick", "Mick", "Mick"

FECCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKK OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

That is all!

I’ve mostly been guiding mum.
I keep attempting bits, but all the up and down moving isn’t doing me much good.
Sucks..

But I’m being helpful where I can

I screwed a lot of metal drawer runners into place, this week!
