Google's now got a speed test if you search for broadband speed test.
That's speedtest gone down the shitter, then!!!

Mine's currently 48.5 down vs 1.83 up.
Our upload's always been craptastic compared to download speed.
.. but 48?....

.... I could’ve sworn I was only on 30...!

*checks*
Apparently it’s now "up to 70"

Just tried it...

26.1

Mbps download

1.63

Mbps upload

Not a kick in the chaff off with the other.

It's a nice increase compared to the old ADSL2+ connection:

In Australia they are rolling out the "NBN" (Nation Broadband Network), which was started by Labor and they said most people would get FTTH but then Liberal came into power and messed it all up, changing the NBN to a MTM (Multi Technology Mix) to roll out "sooner, faster, cheaper" and everyone would get it by 2016! But it didnt work out for them as they changed the FTTH to FTTN and HFC connections... which we are still waiting for!

We were meant to be connected to the "NBN" a couple of months ago (Feb 2018) but they halted the rollout of the HFC connections due to it being crap and they had to fix lots of back end stuff... so they recently announced that my area will be getting the "NBN" now "Planned availability: Jan-Mar 2019*"... so we thought sod it and connect to Telstra (think BT) cable instead of waiting!
