Sitting here watching the clock tick, got a dental appointment at 2:40. It's surprising how much I'm looking forward to sitting in that dentist chair when I'm in fucking agony.

Feels like I had a self-tapping screw wound into my gob, that's the only way to describe it.

Been told to go back Wednesday, dosed myself up on painkillers for now.

He reckons the tooth could be cracked, I still say it's where the last surgeon didn't take out the nerves befroe she put the crown in. If she had taken the nerves out in the first place then this wouln't be happening.

The current surgeon is going to take the crown back out and then investigate, if it's cracked too far down the root then he said he's going to yank the tooth out completely.

It's not just the toothache that bothers me, it also tastes mank and is making my breath stink.

Still another 4 days to go, pliers seem to look so much more appealing when having to put up with this pain.

Back away from the toolbox!

One of these should do the trick:-

Make sure you have good dust suppression control though for when you hit the tooth.

You may be sawing your own face off with it, but if H&S spy any dust, they'll go fooooooookkkkiiiiinnnngggg light!!!

Tooth wasn't cracked. He drilled out the crown, put some sort of anti-rot medicine on the nerves and put a temporary filling in there. I'm back in there on 4th of November.

He gave me the option of either having the tooth pulled or having the nerves taken out and a root filling put back in place with a new crown... I chose the latter, so I guess I'm going to lay bored to fuck for 40 minutes while he gives me the root-canal treatment; it seemed like ages when he removed the crown earlier. Proper thorough surgeon though, he checked-out my gob comprehensively and cleared out the crud from my bottom row.

Still got a bit of pain for the time being, due to the nerves rotting away, but nowhere near what is was like before.

I would've had it pulled me... Abscess's, hate 'em!

Now, I'm like "Rip it", due to that very reason, come to the conclusion that if a tooth plays up, it doesnt want to be in there, and if I spend a fortune and keep it, it only results in one thing, absolute agony and a course of anti-biotics, with the final act of getting the little bugger took out anyway!

Early days yet though Dabz. If anything else goes wrong with it then he said I'll have to book in for a tug.

I would say this has all been a right pain in the arse but it's at the wrong end of the body, unless it happens to David Cameron of course!

Right, this is the final straw. Fucking thing has flared up again, if I wait 3 weeks then this is gonna turn into pyorrhea or something.

Might phone work today and tell them I'm taking the day off so that I can find another dentist, I've had just about a gutful of this one now. If I take any more pain killers my gut will explode.

Get in... Sit in chair... Lean back... Dentist with a pair of pliers... Done!

It's not the pliers that are bothering me though Mike, it's the length of time they make me wait between appointments. They're useless since Chris Gull sold the surgery to that lot.

I know that the joke used to be "I wouldn't C.Gull if you paid me!" but, as heavy handed he was, when he did a job he did it properly.

Na!, it's at 12:00 on 4th November. Left work early and popped back in the dentist. He said there will be pain until the nerve is removed, I expected pain but not this much. I didn't have this much pain last time I had a temporary plug, and that one was nearly 3 months prior to the root treatment.

He he said "no need for antibiotics, just keep taking pain killers", I'll probably need a new liver if I have to keep taking Panadol.
