 		Figured it was probably about time I attempted to get MFi controllers working on iOS, and since the controllers are now a few years old, they're no longer at the £99-and-above "Apple-tasting" price range!!

I grabbed a MadCatz CTRLi for £27.99 from Amazon

Much as expected, it doesn't work with my older games.
Whether I can, in fact, get it to work via Monkey, I'm not sure. But it'll be fun (and/or hair pulling) to find out.

And I don't just mean the analogue sticks and triggers.
EVERY BUTTON.. the DPad, the shoulder buttons, the four main face buttons.
Every single one of them has a 0-255 value.
