Already had 3 registration emails, this morning, so thought it waas probably a good idea to post this topic.

Hello, and welcome to SoCoder.

If you remember BlitzCoder, this is a spiritual successor to that forum. When CodersWorkshop took a nosedive, and was vanquished by a raging Idigidragon, I hastily cobbled together this forum to replace it.
A decade later, and it's still in a (mostly) working condition!


At the time of typing this, the future of BlitzBasic.com isn't looking too rosy, and everyone will be searching for a nice replacement.
For many people, this forum might appear to be that solution.
I, however, slightly disagree.
As much as it'd be great to have an influx of new members here, I also think it's important (REALLY important!) to keep the community together.

A better solution would be to create a brand new forum from scratch, and have everyone move across to that.

I'm almost certain that this is something the admin team over there are thinking about, and it seems like Skidracer is already working on somehow keeping the old database going.
After the massive (MASSIVE) breakup of the BlitzCoder/CodersWorkshop community, I'd prefer to see everyone stay as a community, rather than splinter off into different areas.
Once something significant is decided upon, I'll update this post with any important links.

Just be aware that, after a decade of random waffling, this site is less about development, and more about a bunch of old farts waffling about random gubbins
