So... My Nan's back in hospital again.
They're not entirely sure what it was, but seems to be some sort of infection that damn near killed her. Shocking stuff, and not good for the family members who were there at the time.
We only heard about it the next day, so mum went to visit, and by that point Nan was sitting up in the hospital bed looking fit as a fiddle.
I guess it's much the same scenario as having your current project's massive bug suddenly magically fix itself, in that you know there's something wrong, but you no longer have any viable way to figure out exactly what it was...
Grr..

In the midst of slowly rearranging his bedroom, Jayenkai is chucking out the old, and aiming to fix up some of the smaller issues in his bedroom.
First comes the giant pile of monitors.
At first, Jay thought he might've been able to ring a nearby "Electronic Waste" company to pick up all the crap, but when asked the company said that it wasn't worth the effort, just for a few crapped out old monitors.
Bugger.
The nearby scrapyard does electronic recycling, but I'd need to arrange some way to do it.

Meanwhile, he's also been rearranging his backups, and .. Well, that's not been pretty!
En-mass, it's obvious that the current NAS drive is all kinds of sucky. It's fine for day to day use, but when you're doing such huge backups, it's slow and pisspoor.
Time for a replacement, methinks.
