Rules
Wednesday Workshop challenges will be issued at 00:00GMT Wednesday morning. They will appear on both the forum, and on the frontpage of the site.
Each challenge will last until the following Wednesday.
From Wednesday 00:00GMT, votes can be cast on each entry's page.
The following Wednesday 00:00GMT, the votes will be counted, and the entry with the most votes declared the winner.

Monthly Workshops will start on an undetermined Wednesday, around about the middle of each month.
Each one will last until the next undetermined middle-of-the-month-ish Wednesday, so keep an eye on those deadlines!
Most of our challenges are straight forward, requiring no more than a couple of days work depending on your programming skills.
We have no preference to the language you use, but due to it's rapid-development abilities, people tend to use Blitz Basic for weekly workshop entries.
Occasionally, but not very often, the challenge might require you to use specific languages. These occasions will be clearly noted

Workshop Honor
Your game should be coded within the time period allocated.
The point of the weekly workshops is to occasionally relieve you from your general day to day boredom. If you have nothing to do, or if you've been working on the same thing for far too long, it's sometimes nice to take a short break.
The Wednesday Workshop is here to let you do that.
The Monthly Workshop is available whenever you have time to work on a larger project, but aren't currently doing anything important.

Keeping that in mind, then, there's absolutely no point in entering something you'd coded previously.
'Winners' are not awarded any prizes, or gifts, or even any badges (although that might change!).
It's all just for fun.
So code within the days available, and don't go cheating..

Graphics/Sound/Music
Any additional media that your game requires can be gained from various sources. It is not required (unless otherwise specified) that you create your own, each and every week. But.. Do be aware of other people's copyrights!

How To Enter
Wednesday Workshop entries should be posted into the main forum.
Since they're small quicky games I will upload them all, and host them on their own small Workshop pages.
Monthly Workshop entries are meant to be larger, though. For Monthlies, post your entry into the showcase, and then include a link in the forum to let me know.
The Monthly workshop pages will contain links to each showcase.

Additional Rules may be added at a future date. A link to this rule page will be included with each challenge.
