 		Bloody hell. From the screenshots, it looks like it really *is* just a browser OS.

I'm glad Google's going to be contributing all this code back to open source software (in a year's time they're hoping to sell netbooks with Chrome OS installed!) but I'm going to predict a bit of a flop unless the netbooks are *extremely* cheap. Like "less than £100" cheap.

Mind you, some laptop manufacturers now use linux stored on hardware ROM to dual boot with windows - "instant on" or something, and it's basically just a web browser. Chrome OS might do really well replacing the standard linux + firefox instant-on combo.
