Time travels only within the aura you project...
| This was my entry for a 3 week game making competition at school. Took me about 2 weeks to make, and so is only *just* in a finished state. No sound effects and only 8 levels, some of which aren't really that puzzle-y, but the concept is all there.
The idea of the game is that all time in each level has stopped, except inside a time aura that exists around the player. This means that you can stop and start certain objects, such as buttons and boulders, by standing near to them. There are also auras in some levels that slow and speed up time.
As I said, the levels are rather unpolished as they were all made in a few hours shortly before the competition deadline, so don't expect brilliance (a handful of them have some logical flaws in that allow them to be completed in trivial and unintended ways). All coding and graphics by me, with a few levels contributed by others. Enjoy!
Arrow keys / WASD - Move
Space - use item (push button / boulder)
R - restart current level | |

Vote : 5 | I could do with one of those time bubbles to speed up my PC's boot time!
That's a lovely little concept, with some really neat little puzzle ideas.
Kickass!

Vote : 5 | Sweet. I was kinda sad when it was over. Player education or whatever you call it when you give a little bit at a time and force the player to experience certain things so that in playing they learn how to play without instructions, anyway it was good. Well done.
C++ and SFML huh, I guess there is hope for me.
