Workshop Monthly #012 : Online
Time until Deadline

Month : 20 August 2008 to 24 September 2008
The Reason : Time to get off my lazy ass, and do something online for a change!

The Challenge : Make something online..
It doesn't have to be full a blooded mmorpg, either.
Something as simple as an online scoreboard will suffice.

Standard Rules
The rules are pretty much the same as a standard workshop, except you have a bit longer!
This workshop closes on August 20th, 00:00 GMT.
(That's so that we can start a fresh one on a Wednesday!)

Entries should be posted as Showcases, then noted in the forum below.

"Jayenkai" Something as simple as an online scoreboard will suffice.

Since you've just made this new scoreboard system, doesn't that make this weeks challenge nothing more than 'make any game you want, stuff in Jay's code and you're done'?

I made this month's MW so that I, personally, would get off my lazy no good "Never get any games online" ass, and get something done.

Now that I've half done that, feel free to use the code.. That's what it's there for

I will enjoy seeing how these programs work since I have still not been able to get the full understanding of TCP or UPD transmission

Well there's not much point to have a game which can only be played locally, since most of us wouldn't be able to try it. But I suppose that it would be allowed.

Does 'online' have to be over the internet or can it just be over a local connection as I have no know-how of obtaining server IP addresses.

Use a DNS service, dummy!

Looks good!
I had planned something, but then swiftly forgot about it!

Time will tell whether I manage to get it done during this last week!

I actually have an entry which is almost finished, but I won't enter it because it's kind of boring.

Got an X360 = Nope.. No entry from me!

I have to play the games, yet, though.

So, if anyone's online, tonight, and maybe tomorrow night, too (22:00GMT) and reminds me!! I'll pop on both games, and we can all play along together..

Make a nice Game Night out of it!
