DanTheMan recently arrived, and spent the day posting to loads and loads of old topics.
Then CodersRule called him a Necroposter for having resurrected a whole bunch of them.
You know, I really don't mind this.
Sure, it's annoying when someone's just ignored a topic for ages, then decided to rebirth it and post a bunch of crap there.
And bumping is REALLY annoying. Can't stand that!
But..
Really?!
This is Dan's first day registered.
He's registered hoping to get a bit of publicity for his game.
At least he then has the decency to read through a bunch of old topics, get to know the feel of the site, and even posted a few comments, whether they're entirely needed, or just a way of saying hi.
I don't mind it. It's just a few extra posts.
There's nothing wrong with that.
Let's not whinge unless we have to!

I did get the strong impression he was only posting to help promote his new game. He was asking me in the mudchat at the same time about how to get a link working in his signature.
However I really didn't mind him going around posting.

Agreed. I think his random posting gave a real shot of adrenaline into SoCoder. I was going to post in the shoutbox that I had bet Jay hired him to go around posting to make the forum look more active again.

Thanks for sticking up for me Jayenkai, I don't want to cause any problems. I just wanted to contribute to this community.
I will try to be more careful in NOT resurrecting ancient threads.
