What the code does is measure the width of the field in pixels, gets the fontwidth() which is in pixels and then returns the maximum number of characters that can be placed into that field. TXT_WID=12*X_GUT P_WID=6*X_GUT P_HEI=6*Y_GUT TXT_HEI=P_HEI F_WID=6*X_GUT+P_WID+TXT_WID F_HEI=2*Y_GUT+P_HEI X_SPOT=XX+(F_WID*(X-1))+(X_SPC*(X-1)) Y_SPOT=YY+(F_HEI*(Y-1))+(Y_SPC*(Y-1)) PIC_X=X_SPOT+X_GUT PIC_Y=Y_SPOT+Y_GUT TXT_X=X_SPOT+2*X_GUT+P_WID TXT_Y=Y_SPOT+Y_GUT --> Using Arial and the default size I get 24 for the fontwidth. I use NN=Int(WID/FNT_WID)-1 after setting FONT_1=fontwidth() and WID being the width of the field. The number that returns is much smaller than the size of WID. Meaning that I get an amount of characters that is smaller than the space I want to fill.
