Literally brain fluid.
Can't remember what exact name they gave it, will concentrate later

Just stuff that keeps building up, but a little too much than it oughta, which is causing the problem.
.. I think.

Hoping to get some (any!) results, today, so will hopefully be able to let you know more shortly.
... *waits*

Doc mentioned nothing new, at all, and seemed mostly concerned about the fact that my stitches still aren't out.
Tsk

It's retromutagen ooze, and Jay will take on characteristics of the next animal he touches.

Just had my first catheterless pee in about a month.
like a torrent!!!!!!

... the tubes are coming out one by one, and if my head doesn't leak tonight, then that's a good sign.

More damn waiting.

No leaky head. Yeay
However, I do appear to have a leaky neck.. so...
Damned if I know what happens next..
Will just have to wait and ask a doc, but they don't do their rounds for another four hours.

Gawd.. takes so damn long in here...

Do you not have some kind of bell or something that you can summon people with in case of problems like that?

The hospital system is well and truly fucked up, 'nuff said!.

And guaranteed to get even worse in the near future.

Glad that things seem to be improving; I'm missing the Newsletters

Actually, people in the UK are pretty lucky - see "Sicko" by Michael Moore.

Hi there, I found a link to this thread from Curly's World of Freeware. I think I speak for everyone there when I say we wish you a speedy recovery!

As for the name of the brain fluid, courtesy of Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cerebrospinal_fluid

Cerebro-spinal fluid or CSF for short. Apparently, there's only supposed to be about 150 mL, which means they drained about three brains' worth out of you! O_o It's also supposed to be colourless, so I'm guessing the colour in your picture is a result of the infection or something.

Aww. Say hi to all at CWF from me, and apologise for my extreme lack of bothering to find my password

Thanks for the fluid name, too, BTW. I'm sure they only fill you with all these drugs, so you can't actually remember this stuff

I passed on your message.

BTW, the doctors probably already have a pretty good idea what the results are and mean, but aren't sharing it for legal reasons or something. Even if they're 99% sure what it is, they'll keep quiet about it for fear of being sued if it's the other 1%. I suspect that if you bug them to tell you about the possibilities of what it might be, they'll tell you everything.

(Then again, maybe it's better not to think about it anyway)

Last nights stitches appear to have held.
Will be kept over the weekend for obs, but doc seemed confident things were looking good.
More waiting, but seemingly not bad waiting, anymore.

Citing a Michael Moore "documentary" as a reference is up to 10% as reliable as citing Wikipedia.

No leaks, so far. Woot.

Apparently I have to be careful not to strain on the toilet for the next few days, lest I pop a stitch! Odd advice, but nothing they can't fix with some worryingly brown coloured pills!

So many pills..
Probably gonna be on blood pressure ones permanently, too.
Ugh...
Getting old sucks

And.. it isn't cancer, which is great to know, too.

This morning, my neck feels kind of oozey. I'm hoping that's just a leftover feeling, and that they don't end up having to go back in to add yet another drain.

Time will tell.
Still waiting for morning docs... they're slow at weekends.

So I guess, fingers crossed, they might let you out after the weekend.

|edit| But the big question is, will Jay keep the programmers beard?. LOL |edit|
