I stumbled on this last night, it is claimed to be an easy to learn free alternative to FL Studio, it even has a piano-roll.

I wasn't sure if anyone else had come across it so I thought I had better list it here as it may come in handy for anyone to compose their game music.

Programs like these would be great if the sample library rivaled Kurzweil or Proteus.

Othe than that it is great for games and such.

I don't know about Kurzweil or Proteus but the developer claims that it does basically the same thing as Fruity Loops Studio and it's apparently just as good.

I'm having a play with the Windows version at the moment.

I have been using Linux Multimedia Studio (lmms) for a almost a year now and can say from my own experience that it is truly worth looking into. I wouldn't say that it is easy to learn though.

austin_wicker I wouldn't say that it is easy to learn though.

I seem to have worked out what you have stated there so I guess I can say I've learned something about this application. LOL

|edit| I think I have a distance to go yet before I can say that I'm competent with LMMS. |edit|
