Here is the situation, I have an AVR based adapter to allow a SNES (or NES) joypad work on a range of systems, through USB keyboard emulation. Currently, the firmware allows the following --

  • iCade controls
  • Xperia Play controls
  • Normal(!) keyboard controls
  • Multimedia (play/pause, stop, next/previous, volume etc.) controls
  • All buttons can be reconfigured in keyboard and iCade mode
  • Configuration of buttons and mode switching is done via a menu on virtually any system (tested on Windows, OS X and iOS).
  • iOS onscreen keyboard toggle

  • Can anyone think of any other features that might be useful?

    TeasMaid
    Pizza Oven
    Flux Capacitor

Any one of those (especially the last) would be cool.

    BTW - sounds ace

Nuclear launch! You'd have to tie it to a red button.
And build a nuclear missile (actually not that difficult, but getting hold of plutonium is...)

You always hear that building a nuclear detonation device is not particularly difficult but...once you've built it how are you going to test it?
    Disinformation propaganda?

Well, I don't see that as being particularily difficult. I was thinking of building an antimatter factory of sorts, but had to shelve that plan because I couldn't ensure that the antimatter wouldn't come in contact with matter for a period of time long enough for me to invent an engine that would actually use the antimatter!
Compared to that, testing a nuclear [detonation] device would be a piece of cake.
