I've always used HoboBen's new way of commenting, with the function comments and the readable code. My main coding habit that I need to get rid of is to use Over Capitalisation Of CamelCase. EVERYWHERE.

It would probably be possible to write most of an operating system in C#. Some parts, such as the very lowest level stuff, will have to be written in C. This is stuff like the virtual machine fo*snip*

That may be true in some cases. I don't develop web applications in C.
C is, however, the lingua franca of computer science. It's also used a lot in library and system development. Even if you don't use it, you still have to put up with it and get used to*snip*

allocates space for a pointer to a set of chars. It does not allocate space for the string.
[code]char name[];[/code]
does basically the same thing.

allocates the pointer, but also t*snip*
