I'd rather have an A1200, even if it had been slower.

I so wanted the A1200... but my parents got the A600!

Nowt wrong with a 600! ... except the lack of Numpad.

People think it’s weird that my main priority when buying laptops is to ensure it has a Numpad.
But I lived it with my A600, and I ain’t putting up with that shit again!!!

I had an A500. My mate got an A500+ despite me telling him that a load of stuff didn't work on Kickstart 2.0. He got one anyway, and stuff didn't work...

Ended up with an A1200 with a 120MB internal hard drive that cost me £90, and 6MB of RAM. I biked a 16-mile round trip to pick up the extra 4MB from the computer shop, and when I got it home it was the wrong one and didn't fit. Was too knackered to do it again so scrounged a lift off a mate. Back in the days when I had mates. Hmmm.....

I did love the A600, but the AGA and speed of the A1200 was what I dreamed about!

I would have preferred the A500+ as the lack of numpad made some games hard to play, I recall having to spread my fingers across the top row of the numeric keys to press 8 for up, 2 for down, 4 for left and 6 for right!

I got my A600 before the A1200 was a thing, so never particularly cared. As for lack of NumPads - as a result of my Amiga, I've never used/needed them on a pc!

I had a 600, couldn't use dpaint correctly (i think, could have been ppaint) as it needed the numpad to rotate images.
