Looks fantastic, but yeah a computer that you can't actually program on is a bit pointless. Strange that he then spends time talking about the programming environment/layers...

I expect it's about as programmable as an Arduino. You can't sit and type a game on one, but you can code games for them.
I think I'd rather spend 1/8th the amount for an RPi, though.

It does look a lot nicer than a RPi though. But yeah.

I'd say it's more a lovely keepsake than a proper computer. With that nice case, it'd look great hung on a wall.. .. Assuming the case locks closed, to hold it!!

For me, the Maximite would've been a perfect tinkerer... It just about all works so well, its all packaged brilliantly (Granted, the plug in gubbins is a bit... Tight!), but the display on modern displays, it just kills it!

Which is such a shame.

Likewise with this, yeah, looks fun, but not being able to develop using it by plugging in a keyboard, no... no no no!

One day, there will be a perfect little "80's child" machine we'll all fall in love with, and will work sooooo well... But at the minute, good idea's are letting themselves down with stupid little irks!

It really is amazing, each time I see things like this, just how fantastically capable the RPi really is, especially at the price it's going for.

If they did a "Piputer" home computer system thing, like .. you know.. proper, inside a keyboard case, like a home computer.. That would be kick-ass!!

I think the closest thing there is to a Piputer so far is FuseBox

I quite like the idea of a so called Piputer though.
