From what I’ve heard, it's just a rerelease of one of the MANY generic Genesis mini Plug'n'Play things, but it's "big" news because there aren’t many of those in Japan, under the MegaDrive name.

Yeah, seems a bit pointless to me. Not exactly the Mega news that SEGA promised and everyone hoped for...

Argos have been selling them for years, with 80+ games included - http://www.argos.co.uk/product/7286401

A mini Dreamcast though? Kerching!!

Overloading on the retro front at the minute with these things... I've managed to skip them already, and this will be the same... Its the stupidity of them, like, shitty cable lengths and that, not being able to upload roms, that sort of stuff... Makes it a little pointless!

Having one of these again will bring me more joy:-

Just seen it on Nostalgia Nerd again, I had tons of hours of fun with it as a kid.

The GPD XD Android thing is lovely, btw, if anyone's looking for a decent handheld emulator system!

The GPDWin is better for computer emulators, what with it having the accessible keyboard, but it's a fair bit more pricey, and not all emulators will run full screen (due to the screen being rotated 90 degrees)

Honestly, though, I really think I should look into getting an RPi and hooking it up to the telly. And maybe use that fancy pants 3D printer to make a case.
.. hmmm.. Yeah, I need to make use of that, don’t I!!

I do prefer playing on actual hardware myself, but with a flashcart of course, don't have the money to go buying each game individually!

Web / Game Dev, occasionally finishes off coding games also!
