rockford	I would never buy one, unless I couldn't drive a manual - even then I'd consider not driving. My work's van was an automatic a few years ago - fecking uselss in snow/icy conditions, especially on a slope. They replaced it with a manual, however they've ordered an automatic for next year.

Kuron	@rockford We live on a steep hill and it recently snowed and our area does NOTHING for roads covered with snow. Seriously, WTF? I have never lived in an area that does not treat snowy roads. Our 1984 4WD Toyota pickup truck (manual) has been parked about 1/4 of a mile away as it cannot make it up the smaller hill, that leads to our hill. I walked down there and tried to bring it home today and still no-go and I ave it in 4WD and even low range. 2 Days in a row. Meanwhile FWD vehicles are zooming around fine. I love the little pickup, but never been impressed by 4WDs in the snow. My old 1980 Fiesta (FWD) would never get stuck or my 1969 VW Beetle.

Jayenkai	One time we bought my good aunt a lovely wintery sleigh, with loads of Ferrero Rocher and a giant one that sat on top of the sleigh. It definitely wasn't the cheapest thing we'd bought. ... until she opened it on Xmas day, and it looked like something we could've bought in the pound shop. AndyH	Shrewsbury. And more specifically to one of the very rare Wimpy's still in existence. I do love this town though. It's like a 1980's town with shops and things to buy. rockford	John Menzies was bought out by Martins (Martin McColls) - who have just announced that they are closing most of their shops. Soooooo, even if you had a Menzies, it'd probably be closing very soon anyway! As for Wimpy - I worked in a Wimpy for two weeks over 30 years ago. It was a fun job, but I'd applied for a better (work and pay) job elsewhere and got that the day I started Wimpy. So I gave Wimpy two weeks notice the next day!

Jayenkai	Bolton's McColls was on the inside of Crompton Place, on the right of the British Home Stores entrance. I know BHS went kaput a long long time ago, so.. quite what's there now, no idea. rockford	@Jay. That's a perfect description of what I thought it looked like too! I'd never run from the police. I've seen it happen (working in mental health for the last 30 years I've seen a fair share of police and their "clients") - it always ends up worse for the person doing the running.

Kuron	Just tacos served fajita style. Very good, love the chicken ones, too, but usually get the beef. Wifey loves their burritos, which are huge. What gets me about people running from the police, is when they are fleeing in a car trying to outrun the police car and helicopter, and they crash the car and get out and take off running thinking they will have better luck outrunning a helicopter on foot. shakes head
