My new wireless music keyboard!

I got this on monday morning. The Korg Microkey Air 37.

The nice thing about this keyboard is that it is also a bluetooth keyboard. By just turning it on and pressing a button in a app it connects and is ready to be used.

Korg did have a problem with their bluetooth hardware on later ios versions requiring you to update each device if it was not used before on that device. This requires you to connect it to a mac or windows machine with a midi cable and download and run the system updater. This was not that difficult. I had to do this with this one.

While first looking at it, it is not as small as I expected. It says microkeys but the keys are not really that small. This is the 3 octaves version.

I am pretty pleased with it so far. It was a little bit expensive at 122 euro.

2 octaves, here.
Works wonderfully well, the keys feel "just right" and ....
..
Yeah, I just don't use it as much as I expected I would.
Hmm..

Your's seems to have only a turn knob at the top left. I have a modulation and pitch slider there.

I noticed in the nanostudio 2 app most knobs on the korg nanostudio did not work and I was using the note triggers a lot. So I thought I would just get a real keyboard. I have a small table in front of the sofa where a ipad on it's stand and the keyboard fit perfectly.

A 4 octave or bigger would be overkill though! The 3 octave already won't fit in my backpack, unlike the korg nanostudio.

It's a little analogue stick on mine. Each size of the MicroAir seems to have a different set of doohickeys on the side.

I have used the keyboard for various parts in this tune. Fun thing which might be a not so good thing also is that the volumes are recorded based on how hard you press the keys.

I a'm trying to get a dune 1 (amiga) tune style song.

Ps - how do you place tweets from the ipad in this forum? They do not show in the ][ chars.

BUT...
It won't show any media, so is mostly useless..
