and I've just done the same thing for AD3.
.. well, I say I did it, I actually grabbed the AD1 code that originally did it, then spent half a day jiggling all the sprite numbers from the old set to a new set. ... took WAY too long!!

It's a neat way to do things, and if you ever see the variable Matrix in any of my games, you know one of these is close by
