Ups

What did you get done this week.
  • AGameAWeek
  • A Newsletter
  • Site tweaks that were so unimportant that I've already forgotten what they were!

Did everything turn out as planned?
I'm still having neck issues (and indeed it's fucked again, today) so the game was a little cut short.
Then I was rushing along on Monday, getting it ready for Tuesday, and.. well.. the whole PC fucked up.
So, thanks for that, Mr PC!

I still, just about, managed to get it all done in time.
    *phew*

Last week I wrote a brief edition of Stringy Things for iPhings, within the space of 5 days.
8 days after that (FFS Apple), it was finally released to the App Store last night.
    Big woot!

    Downs

    What didn't you get done?
  • PETA

    Why not?
I was going to add a whole "PETA" cutscene at the end of my game, whereby you're tried and committed for your terrible atrocities to animals. Didn't have time, what with the whole universe desperate to make me stop!!

    Now

What are you working on right now?
I'm rolling my neck back and forth.

    How's that going?
It's not cracking, which means the pain will linger.
    Cock.

    Next

What's the plan for the week ahead?
  • AGAW
  • More Stringy Things
  • More stupid waiting for Apple to update Stringy Things!

    Ups

What did you get done this week.

Did everything turn out as planned?
not really, my hand is killing me, typing is a pain

    Downs

    What didn't you get done?
  • No further on with my rpg

    Why not?
procrastination generally oh and it was my brothers birthday

    Now

What are you working on right now?
raising a crossjumpered line to BT so they can fix their cock up

    How's that going?
    slow as normal

    Next

What's the plan for the week ahead?
  • tinker with my mbed

    Ups

What did you get done this week.
Been a busy week work-wise, but I finished up on an ASCII-art generator and PBM reader in BBC BASIC as little side projects in Computing. My teacher has been setting me little extra tasks to do along the lines of 'make BBC BASIC program to do such and such', so if I keep going like this I may post them up here at the end of each month.

Did everything turn out as planned?
Pretty much. The free version of BBC BASIC has a stupid 8KB memory limit though, so I can only do decent conversions of images to ASCII-art on the paid version at school. :/

    Downs

    What didn't you get done?
Not much work on my main project.

    Why not?
Run into a bug I'm trying to solve, but haven't had a single long enough period of time to devote to it.

    Now

What are you working on right now?
About to start homework. Got quite a bit to do tonight. :/

    How's that going?
    Haven't started yet.

    Next

What's the plan for the week ahead?
  • School programming club week 2 tomorrow! Let's see how many people return from last week...
  • Figure out this odd collisions bug in my project.
  • Half term next week! \o/

cross jumpering is when the line is connected to the wrong port in the exchange.

quite common to say the engineers are meant to know what they are doing.

The cables that go between frames in the exchange is know as jumpering, MDF is the customer side HDF is the internet side.

    sometimes gets borked
