Back on the Blitz3D Wagon

Back to work

Been a while since i've played with Blitz3D, and what i've been working on in the past few days have astounded me.

I'm back on this whole kick. This adventure game-y thing i've been prodding at for the past 4 years as a laugh. I thought blitz couldn't do it, but i'm still getting adequate usage out of this "outdated" and oft-slammed engine. I'm quite impressed that i've been able to work out the 'Huge world' feel by writing a streaming media system that constantly loads things between area switches.

My next step (and i expect to hear the hisses from this) is multiplayer support. I'm not setting out to make an MMO or anything that may even go beyond just a tech demo, so you won't hear the words WoW killer from me. I'm leaving this project as my own little playground to push Blitz3D. I believe it can realize my ideas quite well, considering i've made it this far.

Demo soon-ish...
