 		Why are things that are labelled as "hot" or "spicy" rarely live upto my expectation of being hot or spicy? Is it just me?

And why do food manufacturers choose to use those terms and then make the food bland and insipid, instead of making them flavoursome AND (ALLEGEDLY) hot/spicy? It's like you can't have hot/spicy and tasty - it's against some kind of food law.
