Alright, I'm going to visit my cousins today. I'm staying with them till Monday, and during that time I'm about 90% sure there'll be some time to do some programming. Since I am concidering this a vacation, I don't wanna work on anything game related, but I thought that I might create a lil' something for my uncle. He's one of the head doctors at the hospital in Tromsø, and his speciality is operating knees and broken bones and such. I was just wondering if there's anything you could think of that he might appreciate for his work in terms of computer apps that he might not already have (or something he might have that I could do better)? If done right (meaning that the doctors and nurses at the hospital starts using it), this could gain me quite alot of publicity - I'm just all out of ideas. :\ Thanks in advance! -=-=- Afr0 Games Project Dollhouse on Github - Please fork!

well Afro, I was thinking of some kind of logo or banner that was both informative and a form of advertising for the hospital. If your knees are getting stung by bees and those bones getting old don't hold the phone visit us at Troms0 and we will kindly knit those bones and make those bees flee from your knees. and follow up with the rest. A multimedia application or logo that deals with the service of the hospital. Hint, hint: show slides or pictures of damaged knees or watered knees and some broken bones. Then, pics of the staff and location of the hospital and pictures of healed knees and bones being fixed. Include a killer bee picture or two. Have a slide or two of information on the hospital and these 2 conditions as well. ahhhhhhh, market and mass media. gotta love em.  |

Maybe some kind of patient database that's cryptographically sound and also intuitive... but I don't think that's something that would be taken lightly by the hospital, probably would have to be approved by the board, etc. etc. But maybe also, he might want some kind of simple extension or something; maybe to move e-mails from outlook to his current database system or something. Best would be to ask him if there's anything particular that would make his job easier/something that bugs him about the software.

Instinct is most likely right. For anything such as that (schools, hospitals, etc.), programs of any kind have to be approved by a board, run through tests and so on.
