I would have called April fool if it weren't for the fact that it's March 30th on the article.

From what I remember it's made by @Games, it's a clone and from what I have read about every other megadrive they have made, they don't do a great job either.
However, the more 'official' mini's the better as far as I'm concerned.

The main issue I have with the @games handheld megadrive I got for frizzle from funstock.co.uk a long while ago was the fm synthesis, the audio just all sounded a bit off, if they've fixed that. AND it can play virtua racing then I'm interested. If not then I'm out.

Virtual Racing's apparently coming to Switch. Stick to that one, I reckon!!
As for the clone/not, screw it. If it isn't actual hardware, then there's little to no point in owning such things, unless you want it as just a shelf ornament.

It'd look nice sitting by my NES, SNES, PS1 and Speccy Bluetooth.. but I wouldn't buy it for the purpose of playing badly emulated games,
If I want that, I'd just use the same emulator I used to play them on, back in 2000'ish.. that ran just fine.

I'm still not interested in the switch though, which is odd, as a lifelong nintendo fan, I'm way more interested in the older consoles.

The switch looks great, but most of the first party releases seem to be slight updates of their WiiU counterparts. Also, no new F-Zero still.

I probably will pick up an OG megadrive from ebay in the coming months and bung a flash cart in it instead, that'll do the trick
