The Good News, and the Bad

Concerning Gamma256

As most of you know, I submitted 'Doomed Planet!' into Kokoromi's Gamma256 event. And as some of you also know from last night's chat, I did not make it in...

Well, I did.

(Click picture for link to actual blog post)

Unfortunately, as you can see by the screen shot, the game is under a different developer, Bodo Elsel. Even though it clearly states in the opening credits, "A film by Nick Sheets".

Because of this mix up, I did not receive an email notification telling me that my game was accepted. This means I didn't get enough warning to prepare to make my way up to Canada. (The show is tonight!) So, I'm not going to be there...

I have tried to make contact with the team by email, forums, and the blog post itself. Hopefully, the error will be corrected.

|edit| THE ERROR HAS BEEN FIXED |edit|

Anyway, somebody will see that game on the big screen, along with "Socoder.net" in big, blocky letters. Not to mention my name! I'm a star! Mission accomplished.

Gutted!

At least you still get the claim to fame and socoder out into the world. Mission accomplished indeed.

Geeze, that sucks!
Sorry to hear you lost out on what could've been a kicking holiday

Aw well, no matter. I'm sure someone'll shove it up on YouTube. (You could always ask them to do it for you!)

Congrats! A great game, and I'm sure they'll all be loving it

Just to point out, Petri Purho has his game "Bloody" in the program and it's simply brilliant. Try it!

Also, TigSource.com made a blog post on the event with a link to all the games. They used my YouTube video too!
