.... Snap, on all three counts!!
Not sure what the Flea thing's all about, but I guess that's the sort of thing you only discover if you happen to wander around thwacking all your fellow villagers over the head, all the time! LOL..

I'm not a mean Mayor!!

I meant to ask what fruits do you have on your islands: I have bananas and lychees. My son has bananas and durians.

I've now got bananas, lychees, apples, cherries and peaches available in my homeland. Durians are growing.

Does anyone have coconuts or other fruits?

I've now got the bug, fishing and seafood badges.

Speaking of bugs and fish - I've got the coelacanth now and the snail: the snail differs in this AC and I got it purely by chance having spent ages trying to get it the old way.

Life in New Leaf is good and the new shop is fully open, although doesn't supply a great deal.

Anyone get a MidSummer standee photo? I'll post mine later.

Red's upto his old tricks the bastard!

I'm LOVING all the new stuff that's been added to this version.
TONS of extra content that seems to get deeper, the more you play.
YEAY!

Tip : For Coconuts, grab some from the island, and plant them on the beach. Coconuts grow in sand. Have done, ever since the original!

I currently have Cherries as my main, Apples from Isabelle, Coconuts and Lemons from the island, and additionally planted Durians and Mangoes late last night.
.. I think that's all my fruit.. Can't remember!!

Had my first "Tour" on the island, last night. .. It's alright, I suppose, but it felt very "minigame"-like, compared to all the other relaxing stuff in the game. Quite a contrast, really.
Guess I'm going to have to keep playing the silly things, though, if I want that wetsuit!

I don't have coconuts in my game - I have bananas (which I've planted and are fruiting on my beaches).

I need to get some lemos and mangos from you then.

All the tours are mini-games and just add a little difference to the game.

The new stuff is just awesome and really does add to the game. I can't wait to see if other shops open in the game ot if Nooklings gets bigger (like the old games).

Diving is incredibly relaxing

You'll have to wait a couple of days for them to grow! I'll gather some in baskets once they've started sprouting.

No worries.

I love the way you can now gather fruit in baskets (therefore carry more in your inventory). About time

I have all of the fruits at this point... unless I'm bad at counting.

  • Oranges
  • Cherries (thanks Jay! That was the last one I needed)
  • Apples
  • Pears
  • Peaches
  • Lemons
  • Durians
  • Lychees
  • Bananas
  • Coconuts

I also have a few trees of Perfect Oranges (though perfect trees will only grow in their native town), but those will rot after I harvest them enough times. I guess I just need to keep planting.

I forgot about pears and oranges. Need those too

I have so many freaking pears and oranges in my town. I'll open my gate, if you'd like.

Don't forget that you can send fruit to your fellow villagers, in the hopes that they send you something awesome in return!

Yeah, I've sent fruit to the villagers already - got nothing back yet. That's an old AC trick (I've had and played them all, even the Japanese only N64 version - I even bought the US version (and FreeLoader) on GC because the EU version wasn't going to be released; when it came out over a year later, I bought that too).

As for opening your towns, I'm working a lot so it's hard to pin me down to times, but I'd love to visit both of your lands soon, just to have a nosey. I don't know if you'll be around tomorrow afternoon (around 4:00pm UK time), but I might have a bit of time to spend visiting...

I know I'm friended with Jay, but what ThreeDeeEss name are you using CodersRule? I'm at work now, so don't have my system with me (and don't have Wi-Fi here to actually link up).

Yep, I remember Timothy being on there - sorry, our names on forums are confusingly different to real life. I have several real-world names on on my Friend List and I don't know them other than by forum names!

I've just got home and played a couple of mini-games and realised I could take the fruits from the game islands. D'oh!

So I now have mangoes, coconuts and lemons. Just oranges and pears missing by the look of things.

Left my town's gates open for the next hour or so, battery life dependent..
Worryingly, you can't check the battery status, whilst the town gate's open. Derp!!!!

Just spent a good hour or so, fishing, and managed to make a whopping 36,000 after all the effort! *phew*

Have paid off my second loan, and ordered an expansion for the morning.
,,, 198,000!!?

.. Plenty more fish in the sea. I hope!!

Twice I've collected "ear shells" and twice I've sold them accidentally before giving one to the museum. It's because they look so much like abolone and flatworms. Grrrr!

I made 71,000+ bells with loads of lobsters and giant isopods this pm - get these and your mortgage and public developments are paid off in no time!

My son and I had several two player mini-games on the island - it's really cool as a multi-player game

Yeah, playing tours with friends is awesome. It's kind of boring if you're not playing with friends, though.

I have started an orchard of perfect oranges. A single harvest should yield over 100,000 bells if I sell the oranges in another town. It will need constant maintenance, but I think it'll be worth it. I really don't like to fish, so I suspect this will be a good way to fetch some money.

The Intruder

Halfway through tonight's episode of Mythbusters, (the bottle rocket one) I heard a curious rustling coming from the direction of my town.
I turned around to find that someone had sneaked into my house, and was sitting right beside me, on my couch.

I need to buy a new lock for the door..
I'll be sending this photo to the police as evidence..

They also left piles of litter outside the train station.

A major cleanup operation is now underway.

... In related news, my new Campsite project has received a sudden influx of funding, and should be complete by the morning.

Someone also left a message on the notice board...

BTW Where's all your bloody fruit?
Thu, 27 Jun 2013, 15:39

My fruit all god harvested then sacrificed to the Nook Twins to help build a bridge.
Bloody expensive bridge, and none of the damn villagers would chip in. Had to pay for the whole damn thing myself!!

.. I do have a nice collection in my locker, though. Next time you visit, or vice versa, I'll dig some out for you.

Cheers

My land is pretty much the same - I've got a few peach trees baring fruit, but all other fruits have been harvested over the last few days. You've cut down a lot of your trees - will you be replacing them with foreign fruits or just leaving the land a bit emptier?

Your museum is looking a tad empty - do you not enjoy fishing, diving or bug hunting or do you just not donate whatever you catch?

BTW I almost took a photo of our villagers on the sofa too. My son is jealous of your Majora's Mask reward.

CodersRule: You're missing persimmons from your list. I found some in an island mini-game, but wasn't allowed to bring them home
Thu, 27 Jun 2013, 16:31

Yeah, I like to have lots of fruity goodness around me, so I do an awful lot of tree chopping in the early days of my AC lives.
My villages take a while to get where they're going!
Same goes for my museum.. I do a lot of selling to pay for a nice big house, and in this case, that bloody expensive bridge, too! Damn, that thing cost a bomb!!

Now that the bridge is paid for, though, I'll probably do a fair bit more donating. .. Although there's always something out there that needs paying for!! Damn you, Nook!!!!

I've bought 2 bridges and a spinning cube thing, as well as the campsite that you've just completed. I'm working on a Dream Suite thing now.

My Nook's gets it's first upgrade tomorrow and there's a building going up next to the Able Sisters now (has been for the last two days).

Money is no problem if you go bug hunting, fishing or diving on the island - loadasmoney!!!

I'll be taking an axe to my poxy peach trees soon too.

|edit| Forgot that I also have a fountain - it was the first thing I built.

I just sold a harvest of perfect oranges in someone else's Bell Boom town for 226,800 bells. That's just awesome.

@Rockford: I forgot about persimmons. A friend has some. I'll have to steal some from her eventually.
