I have little room for vr. I noticed you needed a big room for that. Poles with sensors and such. Not to sure what psvr needs though.

My ps3 is still working after 6 years. No need for a new one yet! There are no games for me that look like it is worth buying a new one. The next skyrim is out around 2020 or so. Then I will probably buy a bigger budget laptop rig.

I looked at a site for a new laptop for around christmas. I noticed a 4500 euro costing one with a free vr set included. If I get to hear that I only have a year to live then I would buy that one

@Pakz - the PSVR is designed more for a seated experience, so you dont need a big room and you dont need the poles as it uses the PS camera.

That was the one thing which stopped me getting the HTC vive as you needed the sensors set up. Hopefully Microsoft's HMDs with their inside out tracking works well so we dont need external cameras/sensors.

Also the cost, I need a new PC (my current one is over 7 years old now) and for VR, it'll be around $2k (AUD) to build. Then the HTC Vive or Oculus Rift is over $1k (AUD), so minimum it would be $3k, whereas the PSVR + PS4PRO + PS Camera was less than $1.2k (AUD).

Anyway, so looking forward to playing with it on the Xmas day

I'm sure I'd love it, but I'm really not interested in VR at this point.

I don't really have the time for immersive games nowadays, especially ones where you can so easily get sucked in.

I'll probably wait until the buzz wear off and/or the price comes down and there are enough really good games or stand-out that make it worthwhile.
