There is another option, where you can get another computer on your network to standby and shutdown and things, the are some feature rich ones for free off the net, depending on what you want. This one only works for shutdown and restart, and is built into*snip*

Well, you could always create a little blitz program, to transmit a packet over the network, which would be picked up by the other comp, and then you could use the run command or something to run an app.
This would also mean you could customize it to your*snip*

Hey Jay, which version of vista do you have. And i recommend that no one should ever buys a Microsoft OS until at least a year after being released, then it is likley to have a lot less bugs...

First, Apple do advertise, just not much in england, the same with microsoft.
