Found cause of my issues...

I've been in utter misery for a few months, and just not getting better, severe bladder issues that they could not quite figure out. But was to the point I really was not looking forward to a lifetime of this agony.

23 years ago when I started having kidney stone issues, they put me on medicine to help prevent them. Potassium Citrate.

It appears after 23 years, the citric acid in this medicine has started eating away the inside of my bladder. Against Dr. advice, I stopped taking this medicine and the issue is slowly clearing up and much better. Not normal yet, but definitely better and I am not in agony, just some discomfort.

Bad thing is now I am not taking anything to prevent kidney stones. There is an over the counter medicine called Uriflow that I took 24 years ago for a year and I did not have any kidney stones for that year, and then I got put on the prescription medicine.

So, even though it is expensive and hard to afford, I bought 13 months worth of Uriflow and will take that for the next 13 months.

Other bad thing is my body is potassium deficient and now not having the Potassium from the kidney medicine, my heart is back to going crazy and at times is 150-200+ beats per minute. The potassium I was taking kept that in check. When I see my Dr next week, I am going to have to get put on a different kind of potassium to keep from having a heart attack, stroke or worse.

So, have been taking it easy for a bit with the extreme pain and heart going crazy. Even sitting up can send the heart racing, so have been resting and reading. Grrr.

Should be back to normalish soonish, or what will be the new normal. No fun getting old, but so thankful that I found the cause of the bladder issues. Bladder is actually a fairly large organ and when the inside of it is raw, bloody and infected, it FUCKING HURTS! Literally the worst pain I Have ever had to deal with as there is ZERO relief.

Oh and in typical Kuron fashion, tried to get something to eat yesterday from the Taco stand we love. Was sitting there waiting for our food to take home and there was a car accident and the car that hit the parked car stopped less than five feet from me where I was sitting. Figure I am eight lives gone by now...

I was thinking yesterday how good it is not to live in the u.s when not rich and not that healthy.

There was this streamer who talked about when he was not a big streamer yet. He mentioned that with his health issues he would just stay home and let himself die of his ailments. This was Boogie. He had weight problems.

Healthcare here in the Netherlands is under strain now too. A big group of people are set to get into retirement age.

Mum's been rough the past month or so.
Her bones started to get REALLY sore, and she's been really struggling with joint pains.

A few months ago, she ran out of Centrum vitamin pills, and disgusted at the inflated cost of them nowadays, opted for some cheaper Tesco-brand ones.
She stopped taking them last week.
She's fit as a fiddle, now.

Pakz: I am blessed to have really good insurance. Unfortunately here, the health care system is overloaded and it takes forever to get appointments no matter how well off you are.

@Jay I am glad she is doing better. Store brands are often made by the same big name companies most of which make private label things. Personally, I usually buy generic brands of most things and often prefer them over the name brands.

Weather here had been wet which was really killing my joints and affecting my two torn rotator cuffs, which I will finally get to the doc about next month.
