What did you get done this week?
  • Half things

    Did everything turn out as planned?
    I was planning things smoothly enough, (for me!) but then a whole bunch of half-ideas jumped into my head, and I couldn't stop myself.

    I now have about 5 projects on the go, all at the same time, and am juggling far too much.

    I did get Mister Smash done, but it's not very good, due to all the other stuff I was simultaneously doing!

    Oh, and Al's Tumbly Page is still being updated every few days, which is good, 'cos I ran out of tunes for my vids AGES ago!!

    What did you get done this week.
  • Beat Dead Space 2 in one day. That was a very long gaming session, and pretty rare for me. Dead Space 2 is just that good...
  • Bought Brink, played that for about 6-ish hours so far.
  • Finished the semester

    Did everything turn out as planned?
    Well, the gaming's going well. Brink is excellent, despite what the reviews have said. I attribute this to the difference between playing an FPS on a console and a PC, and the reviews are all from the console version. Dead Space 2 is one of the best third person shooters I've ever played, it really is just tons of fun.

    I assume the semester ended well enough - I don't feel like I did anything horrifyingly wrong. I'm sure I did some stuff wrong, but I just don't care at this point. I want to get back to working on my personal projects instead of being restricted to small areas of study. So, however it's turned out, I'm happy it's over.

    What didn't you get done?
    I don't actually know, my mind basically suffered a pretty severe wipe where I lost focus on anything other than games, finals, and allergies. That last one's probably the culprit, since half the time I'm trying very hard to ignore my burning eyes and runny nose. Just the other day, both my eyes were almost entirely red. Got a few interesting looks from that.

    What are you working on right now?
    Playing Brink and leveling up my character in it. Want to get some more appearance options unlocked so I can kill people in style.

    How's that going?
    I've hit a slight wall due to the fact that I'm not as good an FPS player as I used to be, but it's been going well enough. Brink does a surprisingly good job of balancing everything, so I'm on a pretty level playing field as is.

    What's the plan for the week ahead?
  • Restart work on an old project that I've shitcanned about 3 different times. It might actually just be three separate projects that shared the same title and similar goal, but yeah, I'm still trying to [REDACTED].
  • Go back to my parents' house so I can see my parrots (and family, but mostly the parrots).
  • Sleep a lot. This one is harder than it sounds.

    Pretty much. I've worked quite a bit on the site (for once) and my 'client' is pretty pleased. He just doesn't have time to update the files yet...

    I've done blogging... Though it's mainly about how I've been going on in Arch. It probably isn't relevant to say what went on.

    Sleep, I've been doing properly, and is quite consistent.
