Shroomish Space Race

Unfinished workshop entry.... semi-finished...

This was my entry for Wednesday Workshop #111: The Gravity Challenge. I never finished it for the deadline, but I've taken the time to touch it up a bit.

I only bothered to finish it off because I loved the engine. But I hated creating levels. So, there are only 2. But, the engine is quite nice, I find, and the levels demonstrate what it can do.

As ever, there's a Shroomish Theme. Guide Mikey Shroomacker through the Beta Shroom 5 asteroid belt to earn the title of Shroomish Space Racer Grand Champignon.

Enjoy!

whew!!

this game is hard.
even on the first level.

In the first few seconds....my ship exploded.

No more Ground Control for Major Tom.
Nasa has grounded me and my space training for life.

Thanks guys! I'm glad you like it!

@mousey - Don't worry, with a bit of practice, it gets easier.

Its a shame you dident get this finished in time. It would have been a very good WW entry. The game physics and particle effects are very nice. I died a lot though, and I coulent work out how to restart without quitting and reloading the game. Some images for the planets would be easy to make and the game would look much more like a proper showcase. I'll give it a three for now, but with a few fixes done to it I'd give it more

Yeah, if I were to finish it, those would be nice things to add. But right now, I'm not planning on it. As I said, I liked the engine, but wanted to just finish it off as quickly as possible, as I had several other things to do. So, there's no restart button. You do have to quit and reload.
