rockford	To me, the voices are the most jarring thing; awful (Troy McClure???) The rest I can accept; I enjoyed the first Chipmunks movie... Remember though this is mainly for kids.

PHS	I know how I feel about it. UGH! And what's with that hip-hop song in the background? I am so sick of that type of music being used in EVERYTHING! It's stuck in my head now. That's why I hardly ever seek out what "the world" is creating and distributing anymore. I wish they would stop rehashing and rebooting things from the past. They never do it justice. It only ever gets tarnished. Leave well enough alone.

rockford	Just because it's For Kids, doesn't mean it can get away with being crap. Unfortunately that's pretty much exactly what it means nowadays. Besides, it might not be crap. It probably will be, but you know... it's possible it won't. Look at Sonic. That looked terrible.

Jayenkai	Makes you wonder how the movie crew feels about things like this. Imagine being tasked with animating these, and thinking to yourself "damn, this ain't right..". And yet having to do it anyway. I wonder how many of the original Sonic Movie animators voiced their opinions, only to be repeatedly shot down because "we're going out own way.." rockford	Just goes to show that the target audiemnce does have a voice and can be clearly heard - either before release, and/or after (when nobody buys a cinema ticket). It's the same in any job though - good ideas are always shot down by idiots that think they know better. Look at how many movie-makers have released enhanced versions of their films, or disowned their own movie as corporate interests got in the way of creativity. More than we'll ever know... Look at books to movies too - how many great books have been turned into shit films or films that bear little resemblance to the source matierial. Shedloads. Why do film-makers do that? Corporate probably. Money talks - make something for as little as possible in the hope that it'll bring in as much as possible.
