Back to Afr0's Blog ( Created 24 March 2009 | Last Edited 16 November 2009)Development Diary : Modelling Wallace Cheese, anyone? | Started modelling Wallace from 'Wallace and Gromit' on Sunday because I was bored.
Today I restarted the modelling for that very same reason - and the fact that I wasn't really satisfied with how the first attempt turned out.
Here's an image to show some progress:

As a reference, here's the other model that I started on Sunday;

As you can see, it's been textured and is generally more 'complete', but is very 'off' in alot of places. Mainly because I modeled from one viewport and started with the wrong primitive (a sphere).
I was actually going to stick with the original model, but after I had tried the demo for Grand Adventures and realized there existed a better 3D model of Wallace than I could ever make, I realized I had to try again.
Update:

Haven't really settled on a skintone yet. The current one makes him look a bit like a ghost.
Another update:

| You've got his teeth down and most of the other bits, it's just his facial structure that's really off now. Tweak it a bit.
